This autumn we’ve moved our Thursday club across the road to the community centre’s temporary space, where it’s been gloriously hosted by artist and KWMC team member Dani Hale. The final outcomes will be available to see SOON, so keep a look out on the Broadway (they’ll be up on the community centre site!) KWMC socials, and of course check back here in the future.
Dani says:
Our Thursday after-school club welcomed children from the Filwood Broadway area to explore creativity through hands-on artmaking. Using recycled and scrap materials, the group created artworks inspired by the history of the high street, while also imagining its future. The children’s designs have been developed into a large-scale decorative hoarding, which will surround the community centre during its redevelopment celebrating local voices, creativity, and the area’s ongoing transformation.
